Eagle have recently supplied and installed an airlock comprising a
PAS68 Bi Folding Gate and traffic barrier. Eagle Automation manufactures two PAS68 Bi-Folding gates both successfully tested at 40mph and 50mph with a N2 and N3 vehicle respectively (7500kg). The Eagle arrestor system produced the lowest penetration classification in its class. With shallow foundation and extremely low penetration both products provide a superb engineered solution for protection against hostile vehicle mitigation.
Bi-folding Crash Gates are often used where there is continual or high levels of vehicle traffic but also where it is also important that the gate closes after each individual vehicle passes through for safety checks and then quickly opens again for the next one a staff car park or goods entrance perhaps.
Bi-folding speed gates open and close in less time than an automated swing or sliding gate. This is useful where, security requirements dictate that an entrance should only remain open for a maximum period of time.
Speed gates also take up much less space to open and close using approximately half the opening arc of a conventional swing gate. This is important where space is a premium and for safety reasons another type cannot be placed.
