Sdiptech AB (publ) has acquired all shares in Eagle Automation Systems Ltd (Eagle). The company designs, manufactures and assembles high-quality perimeter security and hostile vehicle mitigation (HVM) products with the highest security and loss prevention standards for the UK and international markets.
"Eagle's strong reputation as a complete HVM solution provider, to public spaces, industrial and high security sectors, aligns perfectly with Sdiptech's mission to contribute to safer societies", says Johan Lahiri, Business Unit Manager, Special Infrastructure Solutions at Sdiptech.
The global market for perimeter security and HVM is expected to continue its expansion, with a growing emphasis on integrated solutions that combine physical and technological measures, such as automated gates, barriers, and surveillance systems. Eagleâs position as a trusted provider of high-quality solutions places it in a favorable position to capitalize on these trends.
"As security threats continue to increase, particularly around vehicle-based risks, Eagle remains committed to delivering best-in-class solutions that protect people and property. This partnership with Sdiptech will allow us to expand our international footprint and continue to innovate in the field of hostile vehicle mitigation", says David Ashby, CEO at Eagle Automation Systems.
The acquisition of Eagle supports Sdiptech's vision of enhancing safety and sustainability across key infrastructure sectors. The company is Sdiptech's fourteenth business unit in UK and will be included in the business area Special Infrastructure Solutions as of October 2024.
The products and services within Special Infrastructure Solutions span a relatively broad range of niched infrastructure solutions. The common theme is more niched market segments within infrastructure, with favourable underlying growth, a low degree of cyclicality and a gradual introduction of stricter environmental, energy and safety regulations. The willingness among both public and private customers to invest in better and niched solutions creates a good market position for our companies providing Special Infrastructure Solutions.
During the first half of 2021, Sdiptech divested seven of the previous nine operations within Property Technical Services. As a result of the divestments within the business area, a reorganization has been made which has resulted in the remaining operations in the former segment Property Technical Services, as of the third quarter of 2021, being reported under Special Infrastructure Solutions. The two remaining units operate in frame completion and special elevators for customer-unique needs.
In the Air & Climate segment, our companies provide products and services to monitor and control indoor climate, air quality, and energy efficiency.
In the Safety & Security segment our companies provide software technologies for secure communication, fire safety and integrated security systems in both public and private environments.
In the Transportation segment, our companies focus on digital technology for speed monitoring and infrastructure for air traffic communication.
