Powder Coating Explained

To ensure that all of Eagle high security automatic gates give trouble free usage, can be seen easily or blend in with their environment and hold up in all weather conditions, we treat them with a coat of Polyester powder, also known as powder coating.

Powder coating is a type of coating that is applied as a free-flowing, dry powder that provides a robust alternative to conventional paint; essentially, it is paint in a powder form. powder coating provides a strong finish and can be applied to any surface that will not be affected by intense heat.

Powder coat is applied by using compressed air, an electrostatic gun pushes the powder onto the object to be painted, which is kept grounded, to ensure a uniform application and therefore better performance. By positively charging the powder it ensures that the paint is attracted to the surface and provides a full coverage. The freshly coated gate or component is then baked in an oven where a chemical reaction causes the powder to form a skin that cools into a hard finish. Powder coating provides a thicker and more durable coating than other paint methods, without any running or blemishing.

A powder coated finish makes your gate higher-quality and extra durable against the elements. Powder coating is an especially exceptional choice for metal parts because of its strength, durability and resistance to abrasion, fading and wear.
